Both Ben and Lucy went above and beyond their Rep role, providing a high level of support to their fellow students. They demonstrated 110% commitment to resolving student issues, both within and outside of SSCs, reassuring students and maintaining excellent communication channels during periods of change. They actively sought support from staff when necessary and negotiated enhancements to the student experience.
“Being presented with the award of Final Year Rep of the Year was a very proud moment for me and one that was also very humbling. It made me realise that all the commitment and hard work that I had put into the role had made a difference to people. To have been selected from an entire academy of dedicated and fantastic Reps, all of who work tirelessly to provide the best possible experience for students, was an absolute privilege and I am delighted to feel as though I have made a valid contribution to the Student Rep scheme and indeed my year group.”
