- During the Summer, to meet the increasing numbers of students and following feedback from the National Student Survey we have refurbished Computer Cluster G01 to increase the number of fixed computers from 44 to 75 with spaces for a further 6 desk spaces for laptop users.

- As most colleagues in University House are only too aware over the last 10 months University House has been undergoing a make-over due to the age of the building and seriously deteriorating condition of the roof, windows and stonework on the old building side.

- All employees have a duty to familiarise themselves with the University's Fire Safety Policy, including fire precautions and procedures wherever they work. All new staff will receive general fire awareness training as part of their induction and must attend a University fire safety training session every two years, in order to ensure the safety of staff, students, visitors and themselves in the event of a fire.
