RingGo is a quick, easy-to-use mobile app that lets you pay for parking at the click of a button. A convenient, cashless way to pay, with RingGo you can also extend your parking sessions, so there's no need to rush back to your car if you want to spend more time on campus.
How to use RingGo
Before you do anything, you'll need to download the RingGo app on your phone and register for an account. It's free from the App Store and Google Play.
You can also register online, by calling 0203 046 0010 or by texting 81025.
Upon registration, you'll be asked to provide details about the make and colour of your car, as well as your vehicle registration number. You'll need to enter the card details you want to pay with too.
There are no registration fees. However, if you've opted into text reminders, you will be charged 10p per message; these are not mandatory and can be switched off at any time through your settings.
Once you've registered, you're all set and ready to pay for parking across car parks on campus and beyond.

Creating a parking session
To start a new session, all you need to do is enter the five digit code of your parking location. You'll also need to input your session duration and the three-digit security code on your chosen payment card.
You'll find the code for you location signposted in all car parks across campus and through RingGo's location finder.
If you have a student permit, the code for our Edgbaston campus car parks is 15690. If you're parking at our Selly Oak campus, you'll need code 15699. Not a permit holder? We recommend parking in North East Multi-storey Car Park (location code 15677 for non-permit holders only).
You must purchase parking prior to or on arrival. Parking charges vary depending on whether you're a permit holder or not; if you have a student permit, you can park for a flat fee of £2.50 a day. If this charge is not reflected in your RingGo app, please check that you have used the correct location code.
If you're not a permit holder and need to extend your parking session, you can do so at any time before you session runs out through the app.
