Student car parking availability on campus is very limited – and you’ll need a parking permit if you want to park between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
You can use your parking permit at the following locations:
- Pritchatts Park Village (B15 2QU)
- Floors one to five of North East Multi-Storey Car Park (B15 2SA)
- The Vale Village (B15 3SZ)
- Selly Oak campus (B29 6QW)
Please note that your permit does not mean you can park anywhere; you will still need to park in designated bays and car parks. We recommend familiarising yourself with the University's Traffic Regulations before you park on campus.
Parking costs £2.50 per day if you're a permit holder. This is a flat fee covering the hours between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays and University Closed Days. Outside of these hours, you can park for free.
If you're a Blue Badge holder, parking is free at all times. Please ensure you display your Blue Badge photo-side down on your dashboard, along with your student permit.
Apply for a permit
Pay on arrival through the RingGo app or at the pay-and-display machines available in each car park.
If you opt for the latter, don't forget to pop your ticket somewhere obvious on your car dashboard. This must be displayed alongside your student permit. Card payments are currently only available at North East Multi-storey Car Park.

Parking without a permit
All students are automatically registered for out-of-hours parking. You can park free of charge on campus between 6pm and midnight Monday to Sunday. Use your student ID card to operate the barriers at your chosen car park (excluding Chancellor's Court and Hills Car Park).
You can also park on campus without a permit at weekends for £2.50 a day. Make sure you pay on arrival, otherwise you may receive a Parking Charge Notice.
