Travelling by train

Our Edgbaston campus is served by its own railway station, University. Providing a high-frequency service to and from Birmingham New Street in just seven minutes, catching a train is a quick and convenient option for travel across the West Midlands and beyond.

Selly Oak and Five Ways stations are also nearby, and are particularly handy for students living in Selly Oak and with our accommodation partners in the city.

Buy single and return tickets at the station or in advance using websites and apps such as Trainline, RailEasy, and TicketySplit. For longer journeys, booking through Split My Fare is a great way to bag discounts.
