Reinventing bike security with smart stands and ad-funded infrastructure for a safer, greener cityRevival-Bike-josh

Founder(s) name: Josh Taylor

Industry Sector: Transport

Have you ever had your bike stolen or come back to find a missing wheel? Maybe you’ve felt that moment of frustration while wrestling with a heavy D-lock or bulky cable, just to make sure your bike is still there when you return.

At RB Co., we believe there’s a better way. Our vision is to transform the way the world locks bikes. Our mission is to eliminate the need for bulky D-locks and cables by 2050, replacing them with built-in, easy-to-use security that empowers more people to choose cycling with confidence.

Our Story

Our flagship innovation, the RB Stand, is a patent-pending public bike stand that integrates secure locking features directly into the stand itself. Cyclists can now lock their bikes quickly and safely using a small, pocket-sized shackle lock, removing one of the biggest barriers to everyday cycling.

A bike is stolen every seven minutes in the UK, often because people choose convenience over cumbersome security. The RB Stand solves this by offering enhanced protection without the hassle, keeping bikes safe while making cycling more accessible and enjoyable.

Designed for People and Places

Unlike traditional Sheffield stands or expensive bike bins, the RB Stand uniquely combines six key advantages:

  • High security – built to withstand theft attempts.
  • Compact design – fits easily into existing bike parking areas.
  • Low cost – affordable for organisations to install at scale.
  • Minimal maintenance – simple, durable and long-lasting.
  • Easy installation – fast setup for councils and businesses.
  • Effortless use – no need for users to carry heavy locks.

By installing RB Stands, universities, local authorities, transport hubs, and businesses can reduce theft, encourage active travel, and help meet public health and net-zero targets.

Next Phase

RB Co. is currently completing its first metal MVP by the end of 2025, with pilot trials planned for April 2026 and a commercial launch in September 2026. We’re supported by patent specialists, prototype engineers, and the Elevate Incubator Team, helping us bring our vision from prototype to production.

Through Elevate, we hope to gain a clear, strategic roadmap for how to take these next steps from product development to pilot implementation. We’re looking for guidance on refining our go-to-market strategy, building the right partnerships, and ensuring we’re investor-ready as we move toward launch.

Get Involved

We are currently seeking £40,000 in start-up funding to complete development, testing, and initial trial installations.

RB Co. is also looking for a first trial partner, an organisation ready to lead the shift toward secure, accessible, and sustainable cycling infrastructure.

Together, we can transform the way the world locks bikes.
