My business was birthed from me recognising that I had good enough tools to solve the very problem that could help save my life. It came from realising that the very autonomy I empowered patients with, is what I had. I wanted to create a line of gluten free foods that didn't just take up space within supermarket aisles filled with high sugar, chemicals and poor texture, but I wanted to solve problem of accessibility and lack of cultural inclusivity whilst maintaining high quality food standards. There is no cure for my rare gluten allergy, but I knew a lifetime of poor-quality food was not something I was going to accept and the market for my business is clear.
So far, we have crowdfunded £1,070 to launch The Gluten Free Business in roughly 25 days from 38 supporters and we have built an organic social campaign around our business idea. We have also worked on our business plan and strategy, with strong business acumen around our plans to launch and scale the business, particularly in line with our branding and market gap positioning.
