Using Panopto to record a lecture can be easy. All you need is a laptop with Panopto installed, at home or office. However laptop microphones have notoriously poor audio quality. To give much better sound and to give the user the ability to walk around during the recording, LRAT can loan to teaching staff personal-use radio microphones. These are designed for light personal use and not for heavy-duty lecture theatre use, but give excellent sound quality and a good range.
Users can connect this to a lectern PC or any device with a USB-in connection.
Loans are for one month, and must be picked up and returned to LRAT's base in the Great Hall.
